Phyna, whose real name is Josephine Otabor, has opened up about her relationship status, claiming that many Nigerian men are intimidated by bold and confident women.

Speaking during a recent livestream on Twitch, the former Big Brother Naija winner said she believes her single status is partly due to men avoiding independent women they feel they cannot control.

According to her, many Nigerian men prefer partners they can easily influence, rather than women who are outspoken, exposed, and self-assured.

Phyna added that expressive women like herself are often misunderstood, as some men form opinions based on social media without taking the time to know them personally.

Despite this, she maintained that she is not bothered by such perceptions and has no intention of changing her personality to meet anyone’s expectations.

She emphasized her confidence, stating that she knows her worth and is comfortable being herself, regardless of public opinion.
