‘I battled mental health struggles’ – Crayon speaks on family and industry pressure

Crayon has opened up about his past battle with mental health issues, revealing how pressure from both family expectations and the music industry affected him in 2022.

During a livestream conversation with Cater Efe, the singer explained that he was dealing with intense stress while trying to balance personal responsibilities and his ambition to rise to the top of the industry.

According to him, the situation became overwhelming, leading to his hospitalization where he underwent a lengthy therapy process.

Crayon shared that after taking time to recover, he made a strong comeback with his hit songs Labalaba and Overloading.

“In 2022, I had mental health issues from all sort of stress; family, industry, trying to be number one stress. I was hospitalised for a long therapy session, then I came out and dropped Labalaba and Overloading,” he said.
