Portable’s wealth doesn’t reflect on him – Speed Darlington
Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has taken a swipe at singer Portable, questioning the reality of his wealth despite his public lifestyle.
During a recent livestream with Peller, Speed Darlington criticized the idea of uploading music on streaming platforms like Audiomack, insisting that there is little financial benefit from them.
He explained that he prefers direct payment for his music rather than relying on streaming revenue, stating that fans who want to listen to his songs should pay for them directly.
He also used the opportunity to throw shade at Portable, suggesting that his appearance does not match the level of wealth he portrays publicly.
“I can’t see any proof of money on Portable… Anyone who wants to listen to my music must pay for it,” he said.
This comes shortly after Portable publicly appealed to industry figures, including Don Jazzy, for help with digital promotion, while expressing frustration over low earnings from streaming platforms despite having a global audience.
