Funke Akindele denies snubbing fuji legend, Pasuma at Lagos event

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele, a Nigerian actress and filmmaker, has reacted to viral claims suggesting she snubbed Fuji musician Pasuma at a recent Lagos event.

A video circulating on X showed Fuji legend Pasuma attempting to get her attention while she was engaged in a conversation with someone else. In the clip, she continued her interaction, which led to speculation online that she deliberately ignored him.

The video quickly sparked reactions, with some social media users accusing the actress of disrespecting the music icon.

However, Funke Akindele has now dismissed the claims, describing them as false and misleading. She clarified that there was no bad blood between them and that they actually greeted and even danced together at the event.

“Snub? Hell no. Stop the negativity pls. I saw him, greeted him, danced with him. Pasuma is my Egbon. Pls you all should stop this evil,” she wrote.

The actress has recently faced similar online discussions, following earlier claims of a supposed snub involving colleague Toyin Abraham at a movie premiere.
