‘It’s joy to watch them perform” – Sunday Oliseh hails three Super Eagles stars

Oliseh Praises Osimhen, Lookman, Adams but Warns Super Eagles

Former Nigeria captain and coach Sunday Oliseh has praised the attacking strength of the Super Eagles.

He spoke highly of Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Akor Adams for their strong performances this season.

Strong attack

Since the start of the 2025–2026 season, the three players have scored a total of 51 goals.

– Osimhen – 28 goals
– Adams – 12 goals
– Lookman – 11 goals

They have been in top form for both club and country. Their performances show the attacking power Nigeria has right now.

Big concern

Despite the goals, there is still a problem.

The Super Eagles did well in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, but they failed to qualify for back-to-back World Cups. This is a big disappointment, especially with such talented attackers.

Oliseh’s warning

Oliseh said the team has great players, but something is still missing.

According to him, the attack is strong, but the team as a whole is not working well enough. He compared it to a car with good fuel but a bad engine.

He also warned that some of the current players may not be available by the time the 2030 World Cup comes.

Looking ahead

Oliseh advised the Nigeria Football Federation to start planning early.

He believes Nigeria must build a stronger team, not just rely on a few top strikers.

Conclusion

Nigeria has one of the best attacks in Africa right now.

But goals alone are not enough. The team must improve in other areas if they want to qualify and compete at the next World Cup.

More updates on the Super Eagles will follow.
